Resident FAQ's

Why wasn’t my trash or recycling picked up?

The most common mistakes that can result in non-collection are:
Putting your waste out too late
Collection begins at 8:00 PM. If you put your bin out even a few minutes after 8:00 PM, the waste collectors could have already passed by your door.
Bringing your container inside too soon
Collection is permitted to work late into the night. Depending on the volume, layout of the community, size of the community, it may take as long as 3-4 hours to collect all the waste in the community.
Not being within the guidelines and regulations
Always follow the guidelines and regulations. All waste must be bagged and tied and placed directly in the provided bin. The only exception are flattened boxes. Extra bags may be stacked on top of each other in the bin. Most management companies or owners do not allow bags to be placed directly on the breezeway floor as this can result in floor stain(s).
You set your bin out on a day when we do not pick up.
Please review the community waste collection schedule. A1 Valet does not pick up on federal holidays, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
I followed the proper procedures and my trash was still not picked up!
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience. Please call A1 Valet Trash at 678-902-4421 or e-mail customerservice@a1valettrash.com so that the issue can be properly documented.

How can I get a new bin?

Your community leasing office assigns and tracks A1 Valet Trash bins for their residents, so please request one from your leasing office.

How does the billing work?

A1 Valet Trash is contracted by the owner or the property management company of your community. A1 Valet Trash does not bill individuals directly. You will need to direct billing questions to your leasing office. Our service is designed to streamline the waste removal process for entire communities. For this reason, communities we service generally do not offer individual residents an option to opt out of this service.

I am not home between 6-8PM. What should I do?

This is the time frame that was agreed upon to allow residents to set their waste outside for collection. This is the most common time frame for the majority of residents to utilize our service. If your prior commitments do not allow for you to adhere to this schedule, please contact your community leasing office to discuss further.

Why did you put a “reminder” tag on my door?

The tag lists the guidelines and regulations for using our doorstep collection service. If you received a “reminder” tag, this means you are not within the guidelines. If there are any fines involved, they are issued by, and paid to your leasing office. A1 Valet Trash does not collect or benefit from any fines issued to residents outside of the guidelines.

Where can I get the blue recycle bags?

Blue recycle bags can be purchased at most mass retail stores in the trash bag aisle.

What if all my bags do not fit inside the bin?

Extra bags can be stacked inside the container with the lid open. You should not put the bags directly on the floors as they can sometimes cause stains. If necessary you may use another container to hold additional bags, as long as it is set next to your A1 Valet Trash bin.

I am moving-in or moving-out, what do I do with my bin?

Your community leasing office assigns and tracks A1 Valet Trash bins for their residents, so please request one from your leasing office when moving-in. When moving out please ensure you clean your waste bin or you may be subject to a fine from your leasing office.
